The pre-tour symposium for the participants has been held. De presentations by the external speakers, the pre-study and the financial overview can now be found under downloads. Participants received a summary of the most important items by e-mail.

Last week, Floris van Delft let us know that he would rather not supervise the study tour, because he is away from his home another week in May to run a marathon in Rwanda. Combined with the study tour, that would be too much for his family. We regret that Floris doesn't want to join anymore, but we can understand his decision. The committee thanks Floris van Delft for his contributions to the study tour until now and wish him good luck on the marathon. But, 'the show must go on'. So we are glad to announce a new supervisor to join us. It is Martin Feiters. Known from the master subjects Advanced Organic Chemistry and Instrumental Analysis for Molecular Chemistry and the bachelor subject Bio-anorganische Chemie. We really appreciate Martin Feiters immediate enthousiasm to join our study tour.

The votes have been counted and our winners are known: Sweden and Norway. Voters should have received a message from us. If you haven't voted, but have interest in perhaps joining the trip, please e-mail us at studiereis2012@science.ru.nl so we can keep you informed.
